Before founding Oaken Injury Law, Ian served as the managing attorney for a prominent firm that grew into one of the largest injury practices in the nation. Over the course of his career, Ian has personally counseled more than 20,000 injured people concerning their legal rights after serious accidents. That experience taught Ian what injury victims need the most: clear answers, direct attorney access, and a lawyer who knows what details matter.
Ian’s call to the legal profession is deeply personal. After his father suffered a tragic injury that ultimately took his life, Ian saw firsthand how quickly a serious injury can leave a family overwhelmed and searching for answers. It was this tragedy that helped shape his commitment to guiding injured people and their families through some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Early in his career, Ian developed his legal skills handling defense cases within the employer and corporate insurance systems. This background gave him invaluable insight into how insurance companies minimize claims for their benefit. Over time, he came to fundamentally disagree with the defense-side approach and chose to follow his original mission: helping everyday people.
Ian knows how to identify key issues and build the strongest possible foundation for his clients’ cases. He understands how large, high-volume firms operate and where they often fail to provide clients direct attorney attention, clear communication, and strategic guidance at critical moments.
Ian co-founded Oaken Injury Law to take a more focused, client-centered approach to personal injury representation. Together with his partner, Matthew Bradley, Ian built the firm around direct attorney access, disciplined preparation, and strategic representation from the beginning of every case.
